Dear Customers,
This afternoon the data centre facility had a power outage affecting our service. Although all the information is not clear at this moment, the brief power outage of less than 10 seconds is believed to have been caused by the UPS system not transferring the load to the generators after a HV grid failure. We currently have Building Managers, Facilities Managers and EDF onsite looking into this issue.
This power outage resulted in our web servers powering down without being shutdown properly, this means upon powering back we had to run file system checks and the servers RAID arrays automatically rebuild to restore hard drive redundancy. The RAID rebuild can take several hours during which you may have noticed a degrade in normal service, we apologise for this and any inconvenience today’s outage may have caused you.
We’re still working monitoring our services to ensure that everything is running as normal so if you have any issues please contact us.
Kind Regards,
lcwd
